I teamed up with other pros to give a young mom a Total Life Makeover.
"...Ann Bingley Gallops, whose company, The Organized Life, is based in New York City, started with a simple suggestion: Get up 15 minutes earlier every day. "Fifteen minutes can make a huge difference if you really devote yourself to saying, 'How can I make this place look more civilized?'" she says. Jackie used the extra time to fold laundry and unload the dishwasher. "It seems like so little," Jackie says.
But coming home to clean, folded laundry means she can put it away right after work, so it doesn't pile up. And after dinner, the dirty dishes can go straight into the empty dishwasher...."

Great shortcuts for any kitchen.
- Keep the cutlery drawer pruned to daily tools, like the carrot peeler and cheese grater, and put the most frequently used in the spaces to the sides or front of the dividers.
- Store drinking glasses in cabinets nearest the sink or fridge, with everyday tumblers at the front and those occasional grappa glasses toward the back.
- Get rid of all but six coffee mugs...
